WHY GERMANY

Tuition-free public universities. World-class engineering. A 9-hour flight.

Germany is home to globally ranked technical universities, near-zero tuition at most public institutions, and one of Europe's strongest post-study work and Blue Card pathways — here's what consistently draws Indian students.

🎓

Tuition-free or near-free education

Most public universities charge 0 rupees tuition (outside Baden-Württemberg) for Bachelor's and Master's — you only pay a small semester contribution of roughly ₹17,000 – ₹35,000 that often includes a public transport pass.

🛂

18-month job-seeker visa + EU Blue Card

Graduates get 18 months to find a job related to their degree, then transition to a work visa or EU Blue Card — one of Europe's fastest routes to permanent residency.

THE PROCESS

Six steps, one timeline, zero guesswork.

📋

APS Certificate is mandatory for Indian students

Since September 2022, every Indian applicant must get academic documents verified by APS (Akademische Prüfstelle) before German universities will even process an application. We handle this for you in Step 02 below.

01

Free counselling call

We assess your subject, German/English-taught preference and budget, then map 6–8 realistic public and private university options for your target intake (Winter/Oct or Summer/Apr).

02

APS Certificate verification

Mandatory for all Indian students since September 2022 — APS (Akademische Prüfstelle) verifies your academic documents before any German university will process your application. We prepare your APS file end-to-end.

03

Application via uni-assist / portal

Most German universities route international applications through uni-assist.de or their own portal. We handle document formatting, SOPs, LORs and submission deadlines for each.

04

Admission (Zulassungsbescheid)

Once your offer letter / Zulassungsbescheid arrives, we help you accept it, register for the semester and plan your German health insurance.

05

Blocked account & Visa filing

Open a Sperrkonto (blocked account) with the required balance, get a confirmed visa appointment at the German Embassy/Consulate or VFS Global, and we prep you for the visa interview.

06

Pre-departure & Anmeldung

Flights, accommodation (Studentenwohnheim or private), German health insurance activation, and guidance on Anmeldung (address registration) within 14 days of arrival.

FAQ

Quick answers before your call.

What is the APS Certificate and is it really mandatory?+
Yes — since September 2022, every Indian student applying to a German university (for most subjects) must first get their academic documents verified by APS (Akademische Prüfstelle) at the German Embassy. Without an APS certificate, German universities will not process your application.
Are German public universities really free?+
Most public universities outside Baden-Württemberg charge no tuition fee for Bachelor's and Master's programmes, only a semester contribution of roughly €150–350 covering admin and a transport pass. Baden-Württemberg (e.g. Stuttgart, Heidelberg) charges non-EU students about €1,500 per semester.
How much money do I need to show for a German student visa?+
You must open a blocked account (Sperrkonto) with approximately €11,904 for the year (about €992/month), which is the minimum living-cost requirement set by German authorities for 2024–2026 intakes. This figure is reviewed periodically, so we confirm the exact number during your counselling call.
Can I work while studying in Germany?+
International students can work up to 140 full days or 280 half days per year without a separate work permit. Working as a Hilfskraft (student assistant) at your own university often falls outside this limit, which we explain in detail during onboarding.
What happens after graduation — is there a post-study visa?+
Graduates can apply for an 18-month job-seeker residence permit to find employment related to their degree. Once employed, you can transition to a German work visa or an EU Blue Card, which has a faster path to permanent residency.
Do I need IELTS/TOEFL or German language proficiency?+
English-taught Master's programmes usually require IELTS 6.5+ or TOEFL 90+, with German language not mandatory for the course itself — though A1/A2 German is recommended for daily life. German-taught programmes require B2/C1 level German (TestDaF or DSH).
